Tekno Reinvents Mad Melon & Mountain Black’s ‘Kpolongo’ In His New Single ‘Jogodo’

Tekno Jogodo

While the hitmaker, Tekno is yet to serve us with his album/EP which I feel has dragged on for so long, he has developed a winning formula of re-inventing nostalgic sounds and creating eargasms like he recently did on his new single titled, Jogodo.

On the Sarz-produced Be, Tekno infused D’banj’s popular line in Scapegoat, “I go be your scapegoat, honey..” and created his own love anthem. However, the song didn’t generate enough buzz like Tekno’s previous hits. Go was a re-make of 50cent’s, In Da ClubYur Luv had some bits of Magic moment’s Ler Gaou and the latest being ‘Jogodo‘, is inspired by the song, Kpolongo, by the ghetto sensational duo of 2005, Mad Melon & Mountain Black (Danfo Driver).

While this may not immediately get a pass mark at the first listen but on several replays, you get to enjoy the beauty and melody that Tekno has created on this piece. The beat is very peculiar to Tekno’s style but in all, it is a feel-good song and will have you jamming to it for a while.
